These structures allow for more communication, collaboration, and flexibility. c. Specialization: Drucker argued that specialization was the best way to increase workforce productivity. Today, however, many jobs require a combination of different skills. Therefore, employees with versatile and general skills are becoming more valuable. d. Lifelong Employment: Drucker argued that large firms should offer lifelong employment guarantees to their employees. Today, however, the labor market has become more flexible, and lifelong employment has become rare. e. Profit Maximization: Drucker argued that the primary goal of firms should be profit maximization.
